"Gilt" is a CD Rom made in collaboration with David Bickerstaff in 2000. It consists of a compilation of images from light sources and illuminated areas surrounding banks, finance houses and state buildings in the City of London. The work centres on issues of currency, commerce and industry in relation to access, participation and transferability. Gilt is a discrete form of visible radiation accompanied by the ever present hum of power. The images are drawn from the security monitored streets of the financial district, construction sites and private spaces offering an antidote to the fast flow of information. |
